GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide: Prices, Bonuses, Editions & Where to Buy

GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition or $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. What each edition includes, the Vintage Vice City Pack, the no-disc physical version, pre-load dates and where to buy.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI opened at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, for both the Standard and Ultimate Editions. Here's everything you need to choose and buy — official prices, what each edition actually contains, the pre-order bonus and its fine print, and the surprises (like the physical version not having a disc).

Our pre-order page lists every official store and trusted retailer with live links, and shows all 16 Ultimate Edition items in detail.

How much GTA 6 costs

These are the official list prices on the PlayStation Store and Xbox store:

  • Standard Edition: $79.99 in the US, £69.99 in the UK, €79.99 in Germany and France.
  • Ultimate Edition: $99.99, £89.99 or €99.99.
  • Ultimate Edition Upgrade (for Standard owners): $20 / £20 / €20 on Xbox. It's listed on the PlayStation Store but not priced yet.
  • Physical code-in-box Standard Edition: $79.99 on the Rockstar Store.
  • The Vice City Collection collector's box: $399.99 — and the game isn't included.

Standard or Ultimate?

The Standard Edition is the whole game. The Ultimate Edition is the same game plus 16 exclusive items that Rockstar says are "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter." They include:

  • Vehicles: the '95 Grotti Cheetah, the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with its own Paradise Garage, the Shitzu Squalo boat, Jason's safehouse Dinka Enduro and Crest Kayak, and a Retro Build for his Ganado.
  • Weapons: his-and-hers Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers from the Vercetti Estate, plus engraved versions of Jason's and Lucia's pistols.
  • Places: Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's mod shops, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo, a gang compound to raid, and a classic-car commission for a fixer named Wyman.
  • Looks: the Vice City Style outfits and tattoos, and Goodtime Gear inspired by Macca the Gator.

Is it worth $20 more? The Ultimate items add vehicles, weapons, shops and side content rather than a different story, and some unlock later — the Cheetah is "available to punctuate later-stage action." If you only want the story, Standard is the full game; if you plan to spend months in Leonida, the extras add up. You can also upgrade later.

The pre-order bonus: Vintage Vice City Pack

Rockstar says all GTA VI pre-orders and purchases before November 20 get the Vintage Vice City Pack, whichever edition you choose:

  • The '55 Vapid Stanier, a two-tone classic sedan, with the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach — complete with a weapon locker and a place to stash stolen goods for fencing.
  • Outfits and hairstyles: a vintage pastel linen suit for Jason, and a red sequin mini dress and curls for Lucia.
  • "Channel the Original Kingpin" — a tropical weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's palm-tree shirt.

The free month of GTA+ — digital only

Digital pre-orders on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store before November 20 also get one free month of GTA+, Rockstar's membership for the existing GTA Online. It includes a recurring GTA$500,000 monthly deposit, Shark Cards with 15% bonus GTA$, free and discounted GTA Online vehicles, and the GTA+ Games Library.

Physical pre-orders don't include it. Redeem it by March 31, 2027 on PlayStation, or within 180 days of purchase on Xbox.

Digital or physical?

The physical version isn't what you'd expect. Rockstar Support confirms a disc will not be included in the box — you get a download code, so the game installs from the internet either way. It's only available for the Standard Edition, and it's available from November 12 so physical buyers can pre-load too.

Region matters for codes: per Rockstar Support, PlayStation codes are locked to your account's region, while Xbox codes aren't. If you buy a physical copy and want the Ultimate content, you can buy the upgrade digitally after redeeming your code.

Where to buy

  • PlayStation Store and Xbox store — both editions, digital, with the GTA+ bonus.
  • Rockstar Store — the physical code-in-box Standard Edition for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, shipping from November 12.
  • Retailers including Amazon and GameStop, and key marketplaces like CDKeys and Eneba — check the platform, region and edition on each listing.
  • All of them are linked, with live listings, on our pre-order page.

Pre-load and launch day

Pre-loading opens at midnight local time on November 12, a week before launch. Store listings then unlock GTA VI at midnight local time on November 19 in each region — 9 p.m. on November 18 on the US West Coast, because the US store uses Eastern time nationwide. Check your exact time with our release-time tool, and set up your console with the pre-load guide.

For collectors

The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a separate $399.99 box of physical merch — a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley Frogskins, a New Era 9FORTY and more — sold only on the Rockstar Store while supplies last. See everything in the box.
