Jason Duval
“Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”
One of GTA 6's two protagonists. An Army veteran from a family of grifters, now working for drug runners in the Keys — and wondering if it's time to try something new.
What Rockstar has revealed
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he ended up in the Keys doing what he knows best — working for local drug runners. In Rockstar's words, "It might be time to try something new."
Then he meets Lucia. Rockstar calls it something that "could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him" — Jason knows how he'd like it to turn out, but right now it's hard to tell.
Lines from his official profile
"If anything happens, I'm right behind you."
"Another day in paradise, right?"
Who he's connected to
Cal Hampton is his friend, and both work with Brian Heder, who lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties as long as he helps with local shakedowns. Jason's own ride is a well-worn Vapid Ganado pickup.
Rockstar's synopsis puts Jason and Lucia at the center of the whole game: when an easy score goes wrong, they're caught "in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida."
