What Rockstar has revealed
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army trying to shake off a troubled youth, and ended up in the Keys running work for local drug runners. He's capable, easy-going on the surface, and very tired of being broke.
After meeting Lucia, he sees a chance at something bigger than odd jobs — and the dream of an easy life starts pulling him into exactly the kind of trouble he wanted to leave behind.
Why he matters
Jason is one half of GTA's first true dual-protagonist romance dynamic — a Bonnie-and-Clyde structure that Rockstar has said drives the story. Expect his skill set to lean tactical and firearms-focused, complementing Lucia's scrappy close-quarters style.
